What she didn't expect is the extremely well built vampire, Slade, assigned to be her tracker and guide. Raina holds secrets of her own, wanting to protect her clan and being a wolf whisperer. She finds Slade very attractive but a wolf whisperer and a vampire? It's totally unheard of. Slade Donovan Blackwolf cannot believe his eyes when his commander sends him on a mission with this nature girl. It's the same girl who was trying to protect wolves and whom he glamoured to forget their encounter. But here she stands and all he can smell are fresh strawberries. He knows he shouldn't succumb and he knows it's wrong, but temptation might prove to be too much. His future is totally unsure, especially with the moon sickness that no one can explain. But helping her was an order and who is he to refuse? It's an interesting tale about vampires who live with humans and werewolves who want to walk freely. I found it neatly woven. Some hair raising action makes you want to jump into the pages and help. But most of all, a few scenes are so hot, careful you don't get burnt. My fangs are out, my fur standing on end waiting for another installment.
