Here's a marvelous book that is loaded with never before seen images and information that stretches from concept art and designs to the stunning creation of the Disney Epic Mickey video game that was released in 2010.

The introduction of the iconic Mickey Mouse to a new medium was a groundbreaking event. This book not only honors the artists, graphic designers and writers who made this happen but it also gives an insider's glimpse into the inspired process that combined the imagery of the Disney theme parks and films with the riveting play of the game itself.

Warren Spector, the lead designer, explains in the book's foreword, 'From the start, I knew we had to achieve a higher level of graphical quality than I'd ever even dreamed of reaching before. I mean, when you think of the word "Disney," at least when I do, the first thing that comes to mind is amazing imagery, amazing style, amazing character design, and, of course, amazing animation!'

As the reader pages through this lavishly illustrated volume he or she can decide just how successful Spector and his team have been in achieving this high level of graphical quality. The informative text explains the process but it is the color illustrations that tell the real story here. In a word, they are exquisite and speak volumes!

Even if you haven't played this game or own it, you'll still find this a fascinating book. Yes, it is a bit pricey but it is destined for collector's status and that does come with a price tag. But, in the years to come, it is very possible this limited, first edition will double or perhaps even triple in value.
