The Walker Papers
, Joanne Walker, who has the magic powers of a Shaman, has been bitten by a werewolf. Her own life at the moment is a mess. She quit her police job and is now headed to Ireland. Trying to beat the cycle of the moon, Joanne is hoping that she doesn't change while in the sky.
G
oing to Ireland is something Joanne needs to do; she has unfinished business to take care of. Joanne needs to rescue her mother, who has sacrificed everything in order for her to live and be safe. So Joanne needs to mess around with the time line a bit, since her mother has been enthralled by the darkness of the Master. The battle is not only to save her mother but also to save herself from the werewolf bite that slowly is infecting her whole body.
O
verall I found
Raven Calls
a bit confusing, and somewhat over the top. It's an interesting tale to be sure, with no lack of imagination. It has action from the very beginning to the very end. It could be read by itself, but I recommend starting from the first in the series.
