onnor Danson has a meeting with Brie Valenzuela. His life has just hit a brick wall and he needs to hide out in Virgin River. He witnessed a murder, and when the suspect found out Connor went to the cops, he burned down his hardware business. His sister and nephews had to be moved cross country for their safety. Connor also found out his ex-wife had been cheating on him, so his trust level is not high. Right now he is missing his family and angry at the world. So when he meets Leslie it does not go well.
C
onnor and Leslie both have emotional baggage and neither feels ready for a new relationship. But, ever since they smoothed out their differences after the first meeting, they can't seem to stay away from each other. Connor helps her around the house she is staying in and they seem to be spending a lot of time together, getting to know each other better. They discover they have a lot in common but there is one thing that might rip them apart, since Connor can't tell anyone why he is in Virgin River.

idden Summit
is the seventeen book in the
Virgin River
series. Readers will love coming back to this small town, revisiting characters from past books as well as getting to know new ones. In this episode, Leslie and Connor's pasts come back to haunt them. For Leslie it is the ex-husband who can't seem to leave her alone. And Connor has to keep his testifying in the murder case secret. The next installment will feature Connor's sister, and I'll be eagerly awaiting its arrival in my mailbox.
