ad Rob MacLaren seeks revenge on the man who killed his wife. He rides his black stallion into the church where the villain is being married and kidnaps the intended bride, riding off with her into the wilderness. To avoid pursuers, he ducks into a cave with his victim and kisses her to silence her. Surprisingly, this beautiful woman arouses feelings that Rob believed dead and gone along with his wife.

lspeth Stewart is totally in shock as her back is pressed against the hard chest of a dark haired stranger. She never imagined this would happen upon her wedding day, not that she really wanted the arranged marriage. But when Rob kisses her in that cave she sees the pain behind his eyes and knows right then and there that she is the only one who will be able to ease it. With two clans chasing them (that of Elspeth's family and also her fiancé's), they are also trapped by the new knowledge that they belong together.
I
love a good, hot romance and this one fit the bill, with a handsome man in a kilt, and a woman in distress as leads. Add humor, a high speed chase (at least as fast as you can go on a horse), some sneakiness, and of course steamy scenes between the sheets, and you have a fun, fast read, with no beating around the bush with filler.
