Lizelle Hanson has only ever wanted one thing for Christmas - and that's a house with no wheels and her very own hot cowboy boyfriend. She was raised in the carnival and travelled all over the United States. She thinks it is time to put down roots, but that is easier said than done. Her uncle gave her a parcel of land with a house, to give it a test drive. If she decides this life is for her, her uncle will give her the deed in the spring. Lizelle is about to have all her dreams come true, considering that the boy she once fell in love with is now a full grown man and her neighbor. Will he be the star on her Christmas tree? This was a hard book to put down; in fact I don't believe I did. It was full of love and romance and great family values. Brown made her characters come to life, by blending their two very different worlds together through an easy flow of words. A great book for a Christmas warmup, it makes you want to believe in Santa.
