Dr. Acacia 'Kacey' Lambert finds it to be an odd coincidence that two women killed in her hometown of Grizzly Falls, Montana, bear an uncanny resemblance to her. Upon closer scrutiny there seems to be more than just a passing connection between the murder victims and the physician.

Not only are all three women close in age, but they were also born within miles of one another and they all have a connection to Trace O'Halleran. Since Kacey has just started dating O'Halleran, she suddenly has become a little apprehensive about the situation.

It is up to detectives Selna Alvarez and Regan Pescoli, who work for the Pinewood County Sheriff's Department, to figure out what is happening here and why these look-alikes have been targeted by a killer. What is the link between a B-movie actress, an elementary school teacher and the physician?

It's a puzzling question and one that must be answered quickly because more women are going to die. Obviously it won't be long before Dr. Lambert reaches the top of the psychopath's to do list!

Author Lisa Jackson has made serial killers her literary specialty. Not only is she able to get into the minds of the victims, but she's also pretty good at mining the deranged psyches of the killers. Her novels have unfolded in San Francisco, New Orleans, Savannah, and various areas of the Pacific Northwest.

Jackson's got the formula down pat now after writing 75 novels and she knows exactly how to get under her reader's skin and keep her or him locked into the story. A classic Jackson thriller, Born to Die would be the ideal introduction to this writer's fiction for anyone not familiar with her stories.
