When Grier and her sister Cleo attend balls, they are not treated in the same manner as the other ladies.

evastian Maksimi is the next prince in line for the throne, since his older brother died. His grandfather has assigned him duties and requires him to marry a well-bred young lady with a considerable fortune to her name, so that he can produce an heir.

rier and Sevastian's first meeting takes place at a ball but it is far from a happy one. Grier is hiding behind a fern when she hears Sevastian and his cousin talking about her in a negative way. Furious, she pours her drink on Sevastian, pretending it was an accident. Next he is caught in a manner that might compromise a lady with her husband - Grier ends up in a closet with him and the chemistry is immediate.

is no different. The interaction between Grier and Sevastian will have readers wanting them to fall in love but laughing at their bickering. I can't wait to see what Jordan's next historical romance is all about.
