C
asey is on the run again, she and the Grim Reaper. With a new identification, she becomes Daisy Gray and applies for a job as a physical fitness instructor at a condo complex in Florida. Retirees, middle-aged married couples, and young singles inhabit the complex. The singles might have been trading partners, but relationships have turned toxic in some cases.
W
hen Casey – oops! – Daisy finds one of her fitness clients dead, her head battered, she feels she has to clear up the murder before her real ID becomes known. I have not read the first of the
Grim Reaper
series, so am not sure just what Casey is running from. Doesn't matter to the story, which works regardless.
T
he Grim Reaper is Death, of course. He has the advantage of not being seen, but can talk to Casey and anyone who is especially attuned to him. His wardrobe is not to be believed and it changes from one scene to the next. Fun.
C
asey tracks down clues and feels she is getting close to solving the murder. Action picks up – parts make you hold your breath. Overall,
Flowers for her Grave
has good characters and a grand plot.
