P
oor art student Matthew Bannon finds a medical bag full of diamonds at Grand Central Terminal in New York City!! The ethics of taking the diamonds don't bother him. Rather it's how to explain it to Katherine, an art teacher and his girlfriend.
T
hus begins a delightful and body-filled adventure involving their plans to sell the diamonds in Amsterdam. Of course, they could not get away without being pursued by an assassin, hired by the owner of the diamonds. This is a thief of the highest order with no qualms about killing and/or maiming to get what he considers his own.
M
atthew and Katherine flee, first to Paris where they have a good time for a few hours before the assassin finds them. I almost forgot the part where Katherine is abducted. Just adds to the tension. Their trip to Amsterdam is uneventful, but the assassin is there waiting for them.
T
hat's when a big surprise is revealed. And I simply refuse to spoil it. I didn't see it coming. And I'll bet you won't either.
A
s always, James Patterson, along with his co-author Marshall Karp, presents a highly readable book. I don't know how many books written by James Patterson I have read, but I do know that I have enjoyed every one of them. And I enjoyed
Kill Me If You Can
very much.
