aised in the projects, Valentine Daye was a street person by the age of fifteen. Her first boyfriend was a major drug dealer with a very heavy hand. Val got lucky in a way because he was shot and killed, most likely her only way out. Rich Washington took Valentine under his wing and protected her. They fell in love and became a very happy couple. Rich got them out of the projects. There was one problem. Rich was unfaithful once in a while, and Val was not down with this - and she has kicked some ass in her time.

al knows her man is messing around. Usually he comes around and things get better, but not this time. Vanessa Knight, a multimillion dollar heiress, has entered the picture. Vanessa is willing to forgive Richard's past and wants to make him hers. She is grooming him to be a vice president of a clothier, Jorge Jacobs. She gives him an ultimatum. Life in the fast lane as an executive or life with Valentine.

is an excellent book, fast paced and fun to read. I found it very hard to put down. The characters are well matched, the dialogue can be quite funny, steamy and out of control. I would definitely add more of these authors' work to my library. And be warned there are some pretty hot sexual encounters between these pages!
