H
eather's father, Sheriff of Benteen County, witnesses a wild scene on the very same morning that an elderly woman wreaks havoc in a church parking lot. A crèche that is part of a private homeowner's overly-done Christmas decorations is desecrated and the Sheriff receives a death threat. The owner states he is going to kill those responsible.
A
rumor is spread that the Sheriff is collecting all the privately owned guns in the county, thereby violating Second Amendment rights. The citizens take up arms to take over the county government. A shootout occurs.
A
ll these wildly diverse happenings promise to make for a wild, and fun, read. I truly enjoy the
Mad Dog & Englishman
series and hope author J. M. Hayes is at this moment hard at work on the next one.
