ampire Sly lives in the basement of an apartment building. He doesn't have two pennies to rub together and is too proud to take hand outs. Then his daughter Merry gives him apartment 1b, thinking he could use a little matchmaking.
S
ly hasn't been the same since he was turned vampire, because on that late night he lost his wife and almost lost his daughter. While out one night, he accidentally chips one of his fangs, which leads him to meet his neighbor, Morgaine, a beautiful witch - and desires that have been asleep for years are awakened.

orgaine's intense phobias make her stay indoors. So her social life is nonexistent. But a knock on the door changes all that. Sly needs her help and help him she does. Totally attracted to her tall, dark, handsome neighbor, she proceeds to assist him to find a cure for vampirism. They become lovers, searching and hoping for a normal life, if at all possible.

hat a fun book to read, full of humor and romance, steamy love scenes and witty conversation. Ashlyn Chase has a great storytelling imagination as she turns the unusual into the normal, well sort of normal.
The Vampire Next Door
is a great book to read, sitting outside with a cup of tea, to whittle away the afternoon.
