icola Sullivan came back home to Eternity Springs after a painful divorce, and set up shop as a veterinarian. Nic is happy to be back home and, with her friends' help, hopes to revive the town that seems to be dying. It was built years ago by three miners but the recent economic crunch has been tough.

ourning the loss of his six-year-old son and his wife, Gabriel Callahan has come to Eternity Springs for peace. He takes a walk one day on what would have been his son's sixth birthday with dark thoughts, but is interrupted by a stray boxer. A few days later, he saves the dog from a trap and brings him to the veterinary clinic, where he meets Nic. She convinces him to keep the dog until they can find a home for him, since the dog keeps returning to Gabe's house.

ic and Gabe keep running into each other and start spending a lot of time together on projects to help the town. They have both been hurt before in different ways, but Gabe is not sure he deserves a second chance. His fear of moving on hurts Nic, but she believes in him.

is set in Eternity Springs, a small town that has been struggling to stay alive. Gabe is a talented architect whose skills might be beneficial. Nic's veterinary clinic is an asset but she wants to help in more ways.
