hiannon Sinclair is outside creating a storm, pouring out her emotions in a torrent of rain, when an Earl intervenes. She is mortified, wanting to make a good impression on him. When Rhiannon runs into him a second time at a ball, her emotions go wild once more, leaving a mess of icicles and lightning in a punchbowl. Rhiannon is fascinated by the Earl, but repulsed at the same time, once she learns that he is a vampire.

atthew Halkett, Earl of Blodswell is drawn to Rhiannon, a tempting morsel of a witch. Her powers, looks, and witty approach to life have him feeling things he has never felt before - and he has been a vampire for six hundred years. He finds himself at a loss, not knowing what to do about her. Rhiannon comes to him with a scheme, asking him to court her so she can appear to be respectable in her Aunt's eyes. With the Earl feeling alive for the first time in centuries and Rhiannon letting loose lightning bolts whenever he is around, do they have a chance for romance?
I
loved
In The Heat of the Bite
, which is full of wit and humor. Rhiannon and Matthew are definitely a match for one another. Who would have thought vampires could be so noble and romantic? The book was hard to put down, and just fun to read. Can't wait for more.
