I
n the small town of Hope's Crossing, Claire (a divorcee raising two kids) enjoys running a beading store called
String Fever
. Also managing her own household, she has a very busy life.
C
laire heads to work one morning to find her store has been robbed and vandalized. Riley McKnight, the local chief of police is best friend's younger brother, whom she hasn't seen in years. He is one hot and sexy man now - at least that's what Claire thinks.
A
car accident has forced Claire to slow down and lean on friends and family - not something she's comfortable with. Leaning on the handsome Riley changes how she thinks of things. Claire and Riley find themselves slowly falling in love.
W
hat I like about this book most is the reality of the situations in the story. Being a mother of two children makes it easy to relate to Claire on many personal levels. It's nice to read a story that makes all your emotions come to the surface.
