he government has a secret unit run by famed paranormal investigator Adam Harrison. Each member of his team has a unique psychic talent. A special unit is led by half Cheyenne Indian Jackson Crow, who has his own demons. He is a somewhat of a skeptic when it comes to ghosts, even though an ancestral ghost saved him from death in childhood. Jackon is also coming to terms with the deaths of two co-workers. He believes that humans are usually responsible for murders, not ghosts.

he special unit has been called in to investigate the death of Regina, wife of a senator, who fell from a bedroom balcony. Rumors fly that she either jumped (grieving over the loss of her only son, killed by a drunk driver) or was pushed by a ghostly apparition. Angela Hawkins is called to participate. Though she too has lost loved ones, she uses her psychic abilities to help the police solve cases. She feels a strong pull to go to New Orleans and help with the investigation.

he house where the death occurred has its own spooky haunted past. It was the scene of grisly murders, and home to a past serial killer. Jackson and Angela have a connection and this investigation will either bring the two together, or push them to their deaths. Danger surrounds them.
I
found
Phantom Evil
pretty good, with its mix of haunted house and a possible murder. The story is interesting and holds you transfixed. Though I didn't particularly enjoy the ending, I will read more of Heather Graham.
