elia Graves is a bodyguard in the paranormal world, hired to protect the rich and famous. Even though she is human, she deals with vampires, psychics, even the odd demon.
C
elia is on a job for a European prince, when they are attacked in an alley by a group of vampires. Celia is wounded and slips into darkness, believing death is just around the corner. When she awakens, she discovers she has been bitten by a vampire, not quite turned. They call her an
Abomination
- not fully vampire, but not human either. As time goes on Celia realizes she has supernatural powers, pale skin and of course fangs. To make matters worse, she is wanted by the police.
F
ighting for her sanity, Celia learns that her best friend Vicki died at the same time she was bitten. Was this a coincidence? And the vampires who attacked them are coming after her - they either want her dead, or to fully change her. She desperately needs to talk to someone who will understand. The only one who comes to mind is a werewolf, her hot ex-lover. She needs help.
T
his is a fast paced book, first in a new series. I like the way it is written, simple and to the point. The story starts with action and keeps on humming. You feel for Celia and some of the other characters, and wonder about this paranormal world.
Blood Song
is hard to put down once you start on the adventure.
