When No One Is Watching
by Joseph Hayes then chronicles both men's lives as Blair succeeds in his and Danny is stuck in gloom and doom. AA becomes a big part of Danny's existence.
I
t's a captivating plot. But the author never pulled me into the scenes, and the characters never came alive for me. Somehow I felt as though I were just a spectator and not part of the story. There is a slight hesitation in the writing which I have found in many first novels. But the dialogue is good and carries the story well.
