n seventh grade Phoebe Rothschild saves Mallory Toliver from hazing by the in-clique of which she is a member. They become inseparable best friends.
M
allory is really a fey, sent by the faerie Queen to right a wrong done to them by the Rothschild family generations ago. If she is unsuccessful, the Queen will die and so will her people. Mallory's love for her friend won't allow her to complete her task, so her brother is sent to seduce Phoebe, now a teenager, and complete what Mallory started.
R
yland uses faerie glamour to draw Phoebe into his web and make her love him. Controlling and manipulative as he is, Phoebe's self-esteem crumbles and she begins to rely on Ryland's input for all decisions.
E
ven when Werlin steps into faerie land, the tension and suspense of a good psychological thriller are still there.
