Her sister Tara wants to sell it as soon as possible, but Chloe is reserving judgment until they stay a little longer.
T
he three sisters decide that they have to fix the inn up a little to be able to sell it so Maddie calls a contractor. When the man shows up she is horrified to discover that he is the same guy she ran off the road. His name is Jax Cullen and Maddie seems to be clumsy whenever she is around him.
M
addie grew up with her father and barely knew her sisters. Tara was dubbed by their mother the
Steel Magnolia
, Chloe was the
Wild Child
, and Maddie was the mouse. The last time all three of them were together was when they met up to bail Chloe out of jail for illegal bungee jumping. They are all learning to get along and to get to know each other better.
J
ax is charmed by Maddie but is aware that she had an abusive boyfriend. He knows that she has to work through her issues and is willing to be patient. Maddie finds Jax hot and is falling in love with him. Jax has a few secrets that could not only threaten his relationship with Maddie but also Maddie's relationship with one of her sisters.
S
imply Irresistible
is a quick read with characters that readers will love. Tara seems like she is hard but it is only a shell. Chloe has asthma and has crazy moments where she gets herself in trouble. The sisters' banter as they get to know each other is funny and the romance budding between Jax and Maddie is frosting on the cake. Jill Shalvis has created a winner with this
Lucky Harbor
book that readers won't soon forget. Next in the series will be Tara's story.
