orning Glory
, a novel by Diana Peterfreund, is based on the motion picture written by Aline Brosh McKenna. Usually it's the other way around. You know the way it goes. A book makes a big splash and the movie industry rushes forward to make an offer. In this case, the reverse occurred.
N
evertheless this is a fun book about the workings of a minor – very minor – network morning news program in New York City. Twenty-nine year-old Becky Fuller has been hired as an Executive Producer.
N
o one warned her that this big step up would probably be a big step down when the program folded. Becky does her best to keep it afloat. Her methods of doing so will keep you cheering for her pluck and stamina - and for curbing her temper.
O
f course, there's a successful, rich college man who takes a liking to Becky. It's a toss-up as to which gets the most of her attention – her boyfriend or calls on her Blackberry. Her co-anchors are spitting at each other on every show and this has interesting results.

ecky muddles through. Does she accomplish what she set out to do? Will her boyfriend put up with having a Blackberry as a rival? Will the book be as much fun as the movie? Tune in to find out. All questions will be answered.
