. Everything that could go wrong when Stephanie Plum is rounding up bail jumpers does go wrong. And then some.
O
f course, she still has Lula with whom to contend. Lula is an accident just waiting to happen - which happens with great rapidity. Lula, wearing her spandex on a figure that is not meant for spandex, enters a BBQ cooking contest, with disastrous results. At the same time, she's trying to dodge killers whom she witnessed decapitating someone, while dating a man who cross-dresses and wears a chicken costume. Busy girl.

tephanie rebounds off both Morelli and Rangeman as her cars burst into flames. Bullets fly and diarrhea flourishes as Lula perfects her special BBQ sauce. Rangeman helps with Stephanie's collars – one being a man who held up his dentist with a gun! Grandma Mazur is still going to all the local viewings and carries heat in her pocketbook. Stephanie's mother now seems to keep a calming glass of whiskey nearby as she irons everything in the house.

his romp is well worth a read and a few delicious out-loud laughs. Muller never fails to please.
