Kerry is the luckiest girl in school. A sophomore, she is taken up and friended by the coolest, most popular girls at Pondfield High School. Natalie is a breathtakingly beautiful senior. Mackenzie, a junior, is the cutest. And the entire senior class agrees, Tanya, although not as pretty as Natalie, is the best looking.

Maybe Kerry's new friends use her a little, but most of all they make her feel alive and she knows she is envied by the entire female student body, who would like to take her place.

Everything comes to an end that spring some time before the prom. While calling Kerry from her cell phone, Tanya loses control of the BMW she drives and hits an apple tree, killing Natalie, Mackenzie and herself.

When Kerry gets a text from Tanya the day before the prom, she tells no one. Who would believe she's been summoned by her dead best friends to Tanya's aunt's apartment in New York? Kerry does just what she's told. She tells her mom she'll be at her dad's. Since their separation they don't communicate, leaving her clear to hook up with her friends. Kerry is overjoyed.

The three friends who used Kerry while they were alive want to continue to use her now that they're dead. Dark and creepy, Three Quarters Dead takes peer pressure to a new level.
