He has one final semester at the Academy of Culinary Arts, and he does not want to fail. His goal is an externship with executive chef, Adam Temple who owns the upscale Market Restaurant in New York City. Wes has given up his former life as a con man, something he learned by his father's side. Wes has also given up on his father who shows up for handouts from time to time. A new, sexy, substitute teacher has arrived at the Academy and Wes, being the charmer that he is, is attracted to her. Dr. Rosemary Wilkins is naive and nerdy and very scientific. Rosemary accepts an offer from Wes that they work together in the lab and experiment on aphrodisiacs, such as oysters, chocolate, and strawberries. Things heat up between teacher and student and president Wally Cornell walks in to find them in a compromising position. He cannot be fooled and soon gives Wes an offer he can't refuse. Rosemary is left alone and heartbroken. Wes begins working at Market Restaurant but misses Rosemary and cannot believe he walked away from a good woman. He should have come clean with her and explained things, but thinks she will be better off without him in her life. Wes is reunited with old friends and is soon drawn into the day to day routine of a busy restaurant. Waiter Jess Wake has been dumped by his lover, sous chef Frankie Boyd. Frankie called it quits with Jess but it is apparent they are both miserable. Wes soon begins to play matchmaker to get them back together, but he cannot manage his own love life so how can he give others advice? Eventually Rosemary shows up at Market to confront Wes and settle the score. Just One Taste is the third book in the Recipe For Love series. It is funny, entertaining, and simmering with sexual chemistry. Old friends are reunited, new friends join the cast of characters, and love conquers all.
