alk about rebellious youth. Jillian could hold her head up in their company. She was adopted and not getting along very well with her adoptive parents. Not because of the adoption. Simply the restlessness that invades every young head.

alling herself a sex worker, she embarked on an adventure most people can only dream about. Arriving in Brunei, she discovered a plethora of girls just like her. They were there for the money promised them for two weeks of their time. Gifts of very expensive jewelry were not uncommon. Nor were limousined shopping trips where money was definitely not an issue.

lifestyle in the palace in Brunei is the stuff movies are made of. All that anyone could want instantly at hand. But the all pervasive

. Vying for the prince's eye. Jealousies because of the prince's choice each and every night. Boredom big time!

hese eighteen months were only a short period of Jillian’s life but apparently left a big impression.
Some Girls
is a little hard to read as non-fiction. I guess maybe I've been too protected all my long life. I may be surprised but am never shocked. So I can't say I was shocked – just finding it hard to believe anyone would let themselves be used in the way Jillian accepted.
I
t's a gritty story told in a matter-of-fact tone. Jillian is a true storyteller. She makes no apologies – has none to give. She lives her life as it suits her.
