When Emma Cross left her CIA job behind for a position with St. Kilda, an elite security firm, she never thought she'd be spending a lot of time on a relatively small boat with a rather large, former Special Ops team leader named MacKenzie Durand.

The investigation into the disappearance of an expensive yacht and the tracking of another vessel that is remarkably similar opens up the door (or sea chest) to an adventure that includes smuggling, international intrigue, and, perhaps, a lethal attack on a major West Coast metropolitan area. Even more perplexing is the fact that other folks, with connections to a major foreign power, are also interested in the whereabouts of the missing boat and its special cargo.

Not really much of a pleasure cruise, this journey along the Inside Passage is as dangerous as the treacherous obstacles of fog, wind, and ever-changing currents that can make the trip a lethal adventure for the unwary.

There's a touch of romance here, but you won't mistake this adventure for a cruise on the Love Boat. It is more akin to setting sail on the ill-fated Lusitania, Andrea Doria, or Titanic!
