alvin loves Garrett and can't seem to hang around him enough. Though Julie and Garrett butt heads over a few issues, like Calvin riding the horses, they both want what is best for the boy. Garrett's patience and gentleness with Calvin increases Julie's attraction to him. his second book in the
McKettricks of Texas
series is just as good as the first. Julie and Garrett's journey to love is enjoyable, and the cattle rustling suspense keeps readers turning the pages until the very end. Set aside a nice day to sit on the porch swing for a great afternoon of reading.
