J
oakim and Katrine Westin have decided to reclaim a long neglected family home on one of the islands off the coast of northern Sweden. Their plan is to slowly restore the old manor while introducing their children to the island's natural wonders.
T
he plan goes awry when Katrine drowns. Whether it was an accident or suicide remains to be seen, but the tragedy leaves a grief stricken Joakim alone to raise the couple's two children. Coping with his unbearable loss is just part of Joakim's problem, for the property he and Katrine were restoring holds some very troubling secrets.
A
hidden room offers a key to the past and sets Joakim on the path to a discovery which will explain events which occurred long before he moved his family onto the island.
