T
ea Time for the Traditionally Built
(by one of my favorite authors, Alexander McCall Smith) offers another delightful visit with Precious Ramotswe in Botswana. It continues the series of
The NO. 1 Ladies Detective Agency
.
M
cCall also has written
The Isabel Dalhousie Series
,
The Portuguese Irregular Verb Series
,
The 44 Scotland Street Series
, as well as several standalone books and excellent series for younger readers. Each and every one is as enjoyable as the one just before it and the one just after it.
M
ma Makutsi joins Precious in this latest adventure that involves Precious' beloved little white van; the owner of a football team who suspects treachery within his team; Mma Matuksi's fiancé and his furniture store; and a certain not-so-very-well liked young woman as well as a woman with two not-yet husbands.
I
have read all of McCall's books – I'm addicted to them. I have also watched Precious' series on DVD. Although a tiny bit different from the books, it is totally satisfying.
P
recious – I call her by her first name as I have known her since the beginning and claim a close friendship with her – manages in her quiet, unassuming way to clear up the difficulties that present themselves. All except the demise of her beloved little white van.
Tea Time for the Traditionally Built
is another not-to-be-missed novel from a master at his craft.
