The first section of the book delves into raising miniature livestock in general terms. What are the pros and cons of each species? What do you need to get started? What information do you need to know on feeding, animal health, breeding and transportation? These and other owner concerns are addressed before the author devotes specific sections to each of the specific types of animals. An excellent resource, Raising Miniature Livestock is a book anyone considering getting involved with miniature livestock should read before actually going out and purchasing a miniature pig, goat or horse. Reading this book will apprise you of what you are getting yourself into and it could save you money too. It would also be an excellent idea to talk to someone who owns the miniature you are interested in to get some first hand advice and information about what ownership really entails.
