In Undateable, Ellen Rakieten and Anne Coyle give their amusing take on '311 Things Guys Do That Guarantee They Won't Be Dating or Having Sex'. The authors tell readers, 'We interviewed hundreds of smart, funny, normal women and asked them for their lists of Undateables, the things that turned a guy from a MAYBE into a NO WAY.'

Now they share their 'brutally honest collection of the things men do to turn women off' in three sections - What Not to Wear, What Not to Say, and What Not to Do - each issue rated with an icon indicating seriousness of the offense (from Red Flag to Kiss of Death). They offer their book 'For any guy who's ever wondered "What did I do?" here's what you did ...' but also include a Red Cross icon with advice on how to right a fixable wrong.

Though the book is supposedly aimed at men, I'm sure women will read it too, and have their own opinions of the faux pas which are well illustrated - mainly with color photos - between its covers. I have to agree with the turn-off of Bad Facial Hair, Mesh Clothing, body piercings, Baby Talk, Business Clichés, and Own a Reptile, but personally have no problem with Jeans While Skiing, tube socks, owning a cat, or Dungeons & Dragons.

Undateable will make both men and women laugh or wince, or even do both at once. Enjoy leafing through it - just don't take its contents too seriously.
