', narrows the subject down slightly. The rise of Adolf Hitler and the Nazi Party coincided with the transformation of the German military into a capable and very formidable force. The army, in particular, with a troop base and arsenal rivaled by few, expanded until Hitler was ready to unleash its might on his neighbors with the invasion of Poland, followed by Denmark, Norway and France.
