It is apparent that she values a relationship with God and makes that clear in her books (ex: Lissa and her friends look to God's leading when making important life decisions). While some secondary characters are not given as much visibility as in prior books, the reader will quickly connect with the storyline. Though this is listed as being the final book in the All About Us series, the ending does leave open the possibility of more.
