Among Thieves
, David Hosp suggests what might have gone down - a very good supposition, full of intrigue, suspense, murder, mayhem and almost anything else that exists in the criminal mind.
H
owever, our protagonist, Scott Finn, is a lawyer who only has brushes with the police when defending his clients in a courtroom. His client Devon Malley is the bad guy here. Caught in the process of robbing a high-end clothing store, he hires Finn to represent him in court. Believe it or not, the now defunct IRA makes a brief appearance as well as a bloodthirsty Irishman with a grudge the size of Mars to settle with the English.
W
e are treated as readers by being introduced to some pretty unusual characters - you can't help loving them, especially Devon's daughter Sally. A unique kid. Or maybe not so unique when considering the lives some kids are forced to live.
Among Thieves
is a good book.
