y mom calls me Miss Blue and I'm thirteen years old, although most folks think I am younger. Since my father left my mom, we have moved around a lot. When I tell people I was in four schools in one year, they just look at me like I'm crazy.
O
f course, it has been hard going from one place to another and making new friends, but I am sort of used to it now. My mom always tells me to '
bloom where you're planted
' and that's pretty much what I try to do.
R
ight now we are living on a ranch where my mom got a job and I really like this place a lot. I've settled in and Stew Pot - that's my dog - and I have been exploring the area around the ranch. I've found some lame wild animals and other creatures that I can use my special healing powers with. Oh, I nearly forgot; I also met a boy about my age and he's kind of interesting, if you know what I mean.
T
hings had been going pretty good and then a stranger showed up at the ranch one day and he really upset everything. Now I'm going to have to make some pretty serious decisions about where I want to go and who I want to live with. My life really got complicated when this person walked in the door, as you'll see when you read about me in this novel.
