. And it's all because Angie innocently set Connie up with a blind date with a has-been football hero. Angie is engaged - with a half-carat Siberian blue diamond ring to prove it - to a San Francisco police detective. Which complicates matters when she tries some sleuthing on her own. Angie is also a professional cook and offers several pretty cool recipes at the end of this cozy mystery.

his is the tenth book in the series. I have to admit, I hadn't discovered the author before this mystery, but shall now look for others of Angie Amalfi's capers.
If Cooks Could Kill
had me quickly turning pages, trying to figure out who could be the culprit. As more and more people were eliminated from suspicion, I realized that I had overlooked obvious clues from the very beginning of this past-paced book. It seemed as though there were very few truly innocent characters, and that each has a quirky personality of their own. A fun book, quickly read and enjoyed.
