ady Phillipa Eddison is a huge fan of Captain Bennett Wolfe's adventure books. She has read them all. When Captain Bennett Wolfe returns from the dead, she loves picking his brain about his travels. But she is appalled by his manners and by the fact that he brings his monkey everywhere.
C
aptain Bennett Wolfe is not happy when he discovers that David Langley, who accompanied him on his last adventure, had him declared dead. Langley stole all Wolfe's journals and claimed he wrote a book with them, but the facts were incorrect. Bennett vows to kill the man once he finds him. When he meets Phillipa, he is attracted to her. She is a beautiful woman but infuriates him when she tries to teach him manners.
P
hillipa wants to help Bennett get his journals back. She knows he is telling the truth when the monkey wants nothing to do with David Langley. Aware that Bennett will not allow her to get involved, Phillipa has to do it on her own. She has fallen in love with Bennett and knows he is attracted to her, but can she keep him away from the adventures that he loves so much?
T
he Care and Taming of a Rogue
is another great story by Suzanne Enoch. She combines humor and passion with quirky characters. Phillipa is not an adventurer (though she loves to read about them) and Bennett's society manners are not good. Readers will love the funny parts with Kero the monkey and sigh to watch love unfold between Phillipa and Bennett.
