A
rthur Goldwag offers a glut of information in
Cults, Conspiracies, and Secret Societies: The Straight Scoop on Freemasons, The Illuminati, Skull and Bones, Black Helicopters, The New World Order, and many, many more
. The book is broken into three sections –
Cults
,
Conspiracies
, and
Secret Societies
– Goldwag covers them all (popular and obscure alike) in detail.
T
he introduction to each section is highly informative and easily readable. However Goldwag presents each individual cult, conspiracy, or secret society in alphabetical glossary form, which gives his book the feel of an encyclopedia. While it is a reference book, it covers the type of information that most readers would like to sit down and read about, rather than to look up very specific topics.
B
ecause of this format, and the fact that some entries run together somewhat in ways that are not always clear,
Cults, Conspiracies, and Secret Societies
is the not the most readable book, and that takes away from the enjoyment of what otherwise might be a truly fascinating tome.
