Mac plans to host their traditional holiday party in hopes that it will reunite her parents and save Strathcairn. However, Mac was not prepared to deal with her old friends in Scotland (Carrie, Kirsten and Lily) being jealous of her new friends. After Mac mistakenly forwards the wrong video clip to her so-called friend Carrie, it winds up all over the Internet. The mix-up threatens to cause a rift between Mac and her Spencer Academy friends. Will their friendship survive the YouTube clip? Will Mac be able to save the family home and her parents' marriage? It is easy to see why Adina is one of the top authors in teen fiction. She has a fun, easy style that teens can identify with. While it is not required to read the prior books, it would be helpful, as some past storylines are referenced but not fully explained. A preview of the final book in the series, due in January 2010, is included.
