She is single and pregnant when she learns that her sister Elizabeth has passed on the gypsy magic to her. Her magic works in her paintings and sketching. She is confused by her magic that says she needs to find her soul mate before her child is born and also by the hormones raging through her body. Alice's new boss Ethan Gallagher is enchanted by her. But he is put off a little by the gypsy magic since he was dumped by his last girlfriend when a fortuneteller told her he was not in her future. Ethan asks Alice to help with an advertising campaign for an ice cream store and they start spending a lot of time together. They feel love building between them. Ethan thinks Alice's gypsy magic is crazy but he can't seem to stay away from her. Alice is still plagued by the message from her great–great–great grandmother to find her soul mate and is not sure it is Ethan. A Stroke of Magic is just as enchanting a read as A Taste of Magic. The refreshing storyline will have readers turning pages to see what the next wish will bring. Grandma Verde is still up to her tricks, and I can't wait to see what Tracy Madison has in store for her next book.
