There are tips here that cover a range of things from simple recycling techniques, basic water conservation, and manure management to utilizing sun and wind power. The book is divided into major sections such as 26 Tips for a Greener Barn, 13 Tips for a Greener Horse, 15 Tips for a Greener Rider and 23 Tips for Reducing Your Carbon Hoofprint on the Road and at Shows and Events. If that doesn't pique your curiosity, there are other chapters on creating a greener farm and even making sure your farm dogs and barn cats are green! By keeping each chapter short and to the point, the author crams a lot into this paperback. Some of these ideas I'm sure you have come across before, but there are quite a few that you probably haven't encountered in the past. What's even better is that many of these green initiatives will also save you money as well as create a better, healthier environment for you and your horse.
