Drop whatever you're doing and obtain a copy of Lisa Unger's latest, Die for You, like right now. What an exciting book. Be forewarned, Die for You is hard to put down. A question looms in these suspenseful pages that we might all find hard to answer.

Do you really know the person you love? Really know them? The man of your dreams? Would he be capable of disappearing without a word of warning, taking your joint assets with him? The person with whom you pledged to spend the rest of your life. The man who understood your every mood and wooed you with flowers and kisses even though you'd been married for five years.

This is exactly what happens to bestselling novelist Isabel Raine. She and her husband Marcus, an inventor of high-tech games, lived a very comfortable life in Manhattan's Upper West Side. When Marcus leaves her, Izy rushes to her husband's office and finds his employees dead and the office ransacked. The plot races on from there at high speed. She can't believe he is gone forever and begins a search for him. Returning to their apartment, she finds that also ransacked and their bank accounts emptied. Then, the most devastating of all, Izy finds that Marcus Raine was in reality dead and that her husband had appropriated the name.

Believing him an orphan from the Czech Republic who educated himself, she has little to go on. She remembers some moments when Marcus talked about Prague and Izy feels she must continue her search there. The plot escalates even more here and readers are off to the races. Lisa Unger's fourth novel is as explosive and paced as beautifully as her first three. She has a deep insight into different personalities and their reactions to extreme conditions. And that makes for a magnificent read.
