Goldy Schulz is back for her fifteenth adventure in Fatally Flaky, cooking her way into and out of trouble once more and making readers salivate as they puzzle over whodunit this time.

At the center of events is strident Bridezilla Billie Attenborough, who's continually harrassing Goldy and making last minute changes (including to both date and venue) to her wedding reception plans. Luckily Julian Teller has Goldy's back, filling in when needed - and that need grows exponentially as corpses accumulate. Complicating matters is the mother of the bride's romantic relationship with Goldy's beloved godfather, Jack Carmichael (who has moved in just across the street and continues to enjoy posing riddles for her). And no-one understands what the handsome groom (a physician) sees in his flaky intended.

Goldy is very happily married herself, to Tom Schulz, an investigator with the Furman County Sheriff's Department - though she does try his patience with regular interference in his criminal caseload! The first death (Goldy always has a series to keep her hopping) is that of Jack's new drinking buddy, Doc Finn, beloved in the community. Reeling from that news, Goldy is informed by Billie that she's moving the reception to Gold Gulch Spa, run by the caterer's nemesis, Victor Lane. Once there, Goldy picks up all kinds of strange scents and convinces her good friend Marla to go undercover. Marla munches her way through events, nudging the investigation along with one hand while taste-testing Goldy's goodies with the other.

As always, Goldy gets to the bottom of things, though she's almost charged with breaking and entering, suffers a grievous loss, and nearly becomes the killer's fourth victim herself. And as always, readers can console themselves, after turning the last page, by trying some of Goldy's yummy recipes - from Frittata and Flapjacks to Figgy Piggy.
