ocketful of Poesy
is the fourth of Diana Killian's
Poetic Death
mysteries. Taking place briefly in Hollywood, then moving to the Lake District of England, this delightful new addition brings Grace Hollister back to the arms of her loved one.
G
race, a former teacher and Byron scholar, has fallen in love with a reformed jewel thief, much to the vexation of her family. Peter Fox is now an antiques dealer and proclaims to be straight as an arrow.
H
owever, his past won't leave Peter alone and several attempts are made on his life. Is that the reason several people involved in the making of Grace's book into a documentary have been killed? Or could there be another unrelated factor? Grace puts her poetic and investigative mind into the mix. An admirer of hers is also a local constable and worries about Grace's well being.
I
t's a bit of a convoluted plot that moves along at a good speed, making for good reading. Throw in some very interesting characters, a background of the Lake District and an author with charm and wit and you can't go wrong.
