izuho Kusanagi's
NG Life
has a storyline you can only find in manga. Keidai Saeki's life is
NG
(no good) because he keeps getting his present life confused with his past life. Almost two thousand years ago, Keidai was the noble warrior Sirix who joked around with his best friend Loleus, while pursuing his true love, Serena.
N
ow, as a Japanese high school student, Keidai is still surrounded by people from his past life, although they do not remember it. He is still best friends with the reincarnation of Loleus, although now the latter is a girl named Serizawa. Keidai can live with that, but then the reincarnation of Serena moves next door to him and is now Yuuma, a middle-school boy. Keidai cannot deny that he still has feelings for Yuuma, but has trouble getting over the fact that his true love is now a guy.
I
do not know if I would call Keidai's life
no good
, but it sure is funny. Mizuho Kusanagi really brings out the comedy through her art, even making the past characters identifiable as the present day ones. For some lighthearted, mindless fun,
NG Life
is a good pick.
