P
arker James is a talented Christian songwriter working at Colgate Studios while waiting to make a name for herself in the music business. Her world is about to change after Brenna, an intern at the studio, is found murdered at Parker's desk.
P
arker's brother Gibson is a homicide detective working on the case. Parker seems to be at the center of the case - being stalked, having a break-in at her house, and learning that a top Christian artist (who happens to be Brenna's mother) has apparently stolen one of her songs. Is it possible for Parker to hold on to her dreams, and faith, in a growing secular market where people seem to be out for themselves?
B
lackstock is known for her gripping, suspense-filled novels and she does not fail to deliver with her newest release. Unlike many of her books,
Double Minds
is not part of a series. The reader will remain engaged and pondering the identity of the killer up to the surprise ending.
