onas knows that Emily is keeping a secret. She seems to be searching for something but he does not want to force her to tell him; he wants her to trust him. When it seems that someone is out to hurt Emily and get to the treasure before her, she believes Jonas can help her. Jonas is struck by Emily's beauty and is falling in love with her. The more time Emily spends with Jonas, the more she realizes he is a sensitive man from the way he treats her orphaned brother and sisters. She feels like Jonas is someone she could marry and live happily with - but she does not want to marry without any money and so has to wait until she finds the treasure.

tephanie Laurens always creates stories filled with romance, adventure and passion. This is another fine example of her creative writing. Emily is a strong character who takes her role of being the children's guardian very seriously. Jonas is sensitive and loyal to the ones he loves.
Temptation and Surrender
is another great
Cynster
story that is not to be missed.
