hen thirty-year-old - and very pregnant - Eve finds out her husband Jonathon has been secretly emailing a female acquaintance for the past year, she immediately demands that he move out of their house. Even though Jon insists nothing physical happened, Eve feels incredibly betrayed and that an

affair is just as bad as a

one.

hat follows is a journey of discovery for both husband and wife, with Eve questioning Jon's love for her, and Jon dedicated to therapy and winning Eve back.
T
he biggest problem I had with
Love and Other Natural Disasters
is that I found Eve to be very one-dimensional. I had a hard time feeling empathy for Eve as she continues to blame Jon for all of their marital woes and refuses to accept any responsibility. That being said, Holly Shumas does a nice job of raising interesting questions when it comes to affairs of the heart.
