eni is anything but a normal high school girl. She spends her time being kidnapped and wishing she would die to spite her powerful father. Plus, escaping dangerous situations is not her forte as her hips tend to give out at inopportune times. Beni is in the midst of another attempted kidnapping when a strange man falls through the air and immediately defends her. To make things even stranger, this man, Kagetora, insists on calling her Beni Hime-Sama (Princess Beni) and claims to be her personal ninja-bodyguard. It is not long until Beni figures out that Kagetora has somehow fallen through a space-time rip and is actually the bodyguard of her ancestor Beni, who was a princess. She keeps this from him, but wishes she could tell him when she finds herself falling in love with him!

hoko Conami packs
Shinobi Life
full of action and romance, with some great humor. Her artwork is typical shojo, which works very well for the story as it clearly brings out the characters' emotions. These elements combine to make
Shinobi Life
a fun, escapist read.
